6 months!

I have been such a slacker on the blog the past week or so because I have been in quite a funk because of the Haiti earthquake. I know that may sound silly, but I've had a hard time dealing with all of the human suffering going on over there! I found myself so engulfed in it last week that everytime Drew would go down for a nap or go to bed at night I would watch the news for hours. I cried lots of tears and lost sleep at night because of the horrific images I saw and the incomprehensible stories I heard. I felt a sense of guilt when I would think about blogging because Drew's smiles and little accomplishments seemed so insignificant compared to the human tragedies I was witnessing.

I have decided this is a new week though, and I HAVE TO GET A GRIP! I quit watching the freaking T.V. several days ago and decided that I wouldn't turn the news on again until someone tells me that the people of Haiti and all those poor little children are finally getting the food, water, and medical attention they so desperately need!

My little pumpkin turned six months old so I am going to snap out of it and blog a little!

Dr. visit :
3 shots....sucked! I don't think I will ever get used to them!
Weight.... 15 pounds 10 oz (46 %)
Length.... 25 inches (22 %) ...still a midget

She had her first bite of "real food" yesterday.... sweet potatoes :)

The lazy little stinker has finally decided to start putting weight on her feet now....

.
And poor Annie is no longer safe from Drew. Notice the reach.....
.
....got her! Poor Annie squealed like a stuck pig when Drew grabbed her ear in the next picture! Sweet little Annie has no idea what is coming!

And a few pics of Aunt Christen's visit a week ago....

Aunt Christen made Drew her first snow woman. Bless her heart, she was out there for at least an hour trying to get the snow to pack. She turned out so cute...thank you, thank you Christen! We had so much fun while you were here!

  1. Hey!
Glad you posted some pics of that cutie! Can't wait to see her! Thanks for the number for Haiti, Kyle and I both called last week.
Looks like she's sitting up in the first pic, is she sitting up all by herself now? :)
